Supporting Local Talent: NWCU Proud to Back Grace and Emily Quinn on Their Journey to Australia
At NWCU, supporting our members and the communities within our common bond is at the heart of everything we do. This commitment extends across all of our branches, including Boyle, Drumkeerin, Sligo, and Collooney, and we are proud to see the positive impact that support can have.
Most recently, we were delighted to sponsor Grace Quinn and Emily Quinn of Keadue as they prepare to represent Ireland at the 2026 International Tetrathlon Exchange in Australia.
Investing in Our Members and Community
As a member-focused organisation, we aim to give back to the people and communities who support us. Our sponsorship of Grace and Emily reflects this ongoing commitment — helping talented young members pursue opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.
We were inspired not only by the girls’ achievement, but also by their dedication and determination. Tetrathlon is a demanding sport, combining running, swimming, laser shooting, and horse riding, and competing at this level requires an incredible amount of hard work and discipline.
Recognising Hard Work and Dedication
Grace and Emily’s success is no accident. It is the result of years of commitment, training, and perseverance. Their passion for the sport and willingness to put in the effort required to reach an international level is a credit to them both.
We were especially impressed when we called out to support their family fun day fundraiser at Moorlands Equestrian Centre in Drumshanbo. The event was a fantastic example of community spirit, and it was clear to see the effort that Grace, Emily, and their wider family network put into raising the remaining funds required for the trip.
A special mention must also go to their mother, Julie Quinn, whose hard work and organisation in planning and supporting the trip has been instrumental in making this opportunity possible.

Supporting Opportunity and Ambition
Our contribution is part of helping to make this journey to Australia, taking place from 30 June to 20 July 2026, a reality. However, this is just one step in what we hope will be a bright future for both athletes.
At NWCU, we look forward to following Grace and Emily’s progress in the years ahead. With their level of commitment and talent, we hope to see them continue to develop and potentially work towards qualifying for events such as the 2028 Olympic Games.
A Message to Our Members
We are proud to support initiatives like this and would love to continue backing similar projects in the future. Our sponsorship fund is available all year round, offering support of up to €500 for local individuals, clubs, and community initiatives.

Looking Ahead
Grace and Emily’s journey is a wonderful example of what can be achieved with dedication, family support, and community backing. We are proud at NWCU to play a role in supporting our members and enabling opportunities like this.
We wish Grace and Emily every success as they represent their community and country in Australia, and we look forward to following their journey in the years ahead.
