Celebrating Local Education: Our 2025 Educational Bursary Awards 🎓

One of the most meaningful ways we give back to our community is through our long-standing Educational Bursary Awards. Established over 16 years ago, this initiative has helped support hundreds of students in our community on their third-level education journeys. To date, we’ve proudly awarded over €150,000 in bursaries to our members.

A New Chapter in 2025
Thanks to our recent merger with Boyle Credit Union, we’ve expanded and refreshed the bursary programme this year, making it more inclusive and impactful than ever before.

What’s New in 2025? 

✅ Increased Total Fund – Now €14,000 in bursaries
✅ Seven Individual Prizes – Each worth €2,000
✅ Expanded Eligibility – Now open to members in Boyle and Keadue
✅ New Application Feature – Members were invited to tell us how the bursary would support their college experience

Winners were selected based on the strength of their application and their residence within our Common Bond area. This year’s recipients include two winners from Boyle and Keadue, one from Leitrim, one from Collooney, and three from Sligo Town.
