North West Credit Union Art Competition 2026 Now Open
North West Credit Union is inviting artists of all ages to get creative and take part in the 2026 Credit Union Art Competition. This year's theme, "World of Colour", encourages participants to explore the colours, experiences and perspectives that make our world unique through art.
Whether inspired by nature, culture, community or imagination, artists are encouraged to interpret the theme in their own unique way. The competition celebrates creativity, self-expression and artistic talent across all age groups.
Winning entries at North West Credit Union level will progress to the regional stage of the competition, with successful entries then advancing to the national finals.
National winners will also have their artwork featured in the annual Credit Union Calendar.

Age Categories
- 7 Years & Under
- 8 to 10 Years
- 11 to 13 Years
- 14 to 17 Years
- 18 Years & Over (Adult)
Additional Needs Category
Important Competition Rules
Before submitting your artwork, please ensure that:
- Only one entry per person is submitted.
- Artwork must be produced by the entrant.
- Entries must be either A3 (420 x 297mm) or A2 (594 x 420mm) in size.
- All artwork must be in landscape orientation. Portrait entries will be disqualified.
- Digital artwork and computer-generated designs are not permitted.
- A completed entry form must accompany every entry.
- Parent or guardian consent is required for entrants under 18 years of age and for Additional Needs entries.
Artists may use a variety of media including pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, markers, crayons, pastels, watercolours, acrylics, oils, poster colours, collage and printmaking methods.

Once completed, artwork and entry forms should be returned to your nearest North West Credit Union branch.

For more than forty years, the Credit Union Art Competition has encouraged thousands of artists across Ireland to showcase their talents and creativity. We are excited to see how our members and communities bring this year's theme, World of Colour, to life.
