Educational Bursary Awards

One of the ways we give back to our community is through our prestigious Educational Bursary Awards. Established over 17 years ago, these awards have provided over €165,000 in bursaries, supporting our members in pursuing third-level education.

To be eligible, all applicants must be members of North West Credit Union and submit their application using their own account details.

2026 Applications Now Open

We’re delighted to announce that applications for our 2026 bursaries are now open. Please read the guidelines below:

  • Applications must be submitted using the official form and either emailed to marketing@nwcu.ie or dropped into any of our branches.
  • The form will not be accepted without a summary explaining how the bursary from North West Credit Union would benefit your educational journey.
  • The closing date for all forms is 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, 30 May 2026. Winners will be announced in August 2026, with the cheque presentation taking place in September 2026.

Amy McMorrow, who was unable to attend the awards ceremony due to her studies, is currently studying Medicine at the University of Limerick.
